Lacey McIntosh, DO, MPH, associate professor in radiology, recently completed the 2026 Equip program - "it was a fantastic experience. I am grateful to Dr. Bankier for nominating me and Dr. Rosen for supporting and encouraging my participation."

Dr. McIntosh included the following text in her program evaluation:

"The Equip program was a transformative professional development experience for my academic career.

The faculty involved in this course are amazing! Dr. Green brings expertise with education and interpersonal communication and management skills. Dr. Ahn gave an expert talk on negotiation skills. Dr. Reidy is a rare kind of leader — accomplished at the highest levels, yet completely present and invested in every participant. Her background as both a physician and elite communicator shines through: she understands not just what you say, but how language, relationships, and presence shape outcomes. The result is an environment where you feel simultaneously challenged and supported.

Over six sessions, I developed practical, immediately usable skills in areas that don't get enough attention in academic medicine: high-stakes presentations, negotiation, navigating workplace conflict, and managing up — all grounded in real simulation and peer feedback. I walked out of my first session and was able to use these skills in my everyday work.

Dr. Reidy believes women faculty deserve the tools and confidence to lead at every level. She doesn't just teach those tools — she embodies them."
