Nutrient Sensing & Metabolic Signaling

Cells continuously monitor nutrient availability and convert these inputs into coordinatedsignaling responses that govern growth, metabolism, andsurvival.

Our research focuses on defining how nutrient sensing pathways—particularly mTOR and related networks—integratediverse metabolic cues to regulate cellular function. By studying how metabolites act not only as fuels but also as signaling molecules, we aim to uncover fundamental principles by which cells interpret their nutritional environment and adapt to changing physiological demands.
