To support our UMass Chan mission, our office has developed a Faculty Recruitment Toolkit to assist departments in implementing best practices for faculty recruitment. This toolkit provides guidance for broad outreach to secure a large candidate pool as well as strategies to foster an objective evaluation process that is systematically used for all applicants.
In addition, UMass Chan has several faculty recruitment initiatives designed for different faculty groups (i.e., clinician educators, basic scientists, and translational researchers). These initiatives include:
- The Community Engaged Faculty (CEF) Program
- The Mentored Career Development in Community-Engaged Research K12 Award (K12-CER)
- The Cluster Hire Program (currently on pause)
- The UMass Chan Early Independence Fellows Program
