Lindsay Romo, MD, PhD
Former RTI Lab: MD/PhD Candidate, Aronin Lab
Training Period: 2011–2019
Prior Academic Degree Institution: MIT
I received my bachelors in brain and cognitive sciences from MIT followed by an MD PhD in cell biology at UMass Medical School (Aronin lab). I then completed pediatrics residency at Boston Children's Hospital with research at the MIT Burge lab, followed by medical genetics and medical biochemical genetics fellowships. I am now an attending in genetics and genomics at BCH and doing research at the Broad Institute as a postdoctoral fellow in the O'Donnell-Luria lab. I aspire to utilize my research and patient-care expertise to enhance both clinical genetics and basic science research. My clinical interest lies in patients who are undiagnosed after whole exome or genome sequencing, and my research focuses on improving classification of noncoding variants of uncertain significance.
