Housing

The UMass Chan Medical School campus does not have onsite housing facilities. However, most of our students find convenient housing in the local community. Students usually find housing via the housing board located just outside of the student lounge (which advertises local listing for housing/roommates) or by using the links listed on this page.

Required Clinical Courses for Worcester-Based Students

Worcester-campus-based T.H. Chan School of Medicine students will be provided housing for required clinical rotations (i.e., clerkships in Explorations phase or Horizons phase Acting Internship) for clinical assignments at distant sites only. A distance site is defined as one that is over 60 miles from our main campus in Worcester.

*IMPORTANT:  Housing is NOT provided for any elective, including those sponsored by UMass Chan.

LEAD@Lahey and PURCH Track Students

All T.H. Chan School of Medicine students in the LEAD@Lahey and PURCH programs are required to commute to their regional campus in the Discovery and Exploration Phases of the curriculum. The Exploration Phase starts in mid-March of your MS2 year.

You will also be responsible for your own housing for your clerkships. Where you choose to live is your choice. Read more about options other students have used.

As for Worcester-campus-based students, housing is NOT provided for any elective, including those sponsored by UMass Chan.
