Meet the Clinic Director

Zheni Stavre, MD

Zheni Stavre, MD

Dr. Stavre is a rheumatologist and academic specialist in psoriatic arthritis.  She is known for her expertise in both clinical care and research. She is a member of GRAPPA (Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis), where she is actively involved in evaluating guidelines for Psoriatic Arthritis treatment. As Clinic Director, she leads an innovative, multidisciplinary program integrating rheumatology and dermatology, with a focus on early disease identification through validated screening tools such as the PEST questionnaire and coordinated referral pathways to optimize outcomes and prevent irreversible joint damage and other long-term complications.

What is Psoriatic Arthritis?

Psoriatic arthritis is a type of inflammatory arthritis that affects people who have psoriasis, a skin condition characterized by red, scaly patches. However, arthritis can sometimes occur before the skin condition.

Symptoms

Symptoms can vary but commonly include joint pain, stiffness, and swelling. You may also experience fatigue, nail changes, and inflammation of the eyes.
