On Monday, September 28, 2026, UMass Chan will begin a structural repair and restoration project at the West Garage that is expected to last two years. This project will require the temporary closure of approximately 400-600 parking spaces during that time.
All affected West Garage parkers will be notified individually, by email, from the Parking Office with their new (temporary) parking assignments.
Moving this many parkers out of the West Garage will have a ripple effect across other parking areas, with some Pine Tree Lot and Plantation Street Garage parkers also getting reassigned on a temporary basis.
All parking permit holders are urged to pay close attention to their email for specific instructions.
