Hobbies/Interests: Running (have completed several half marathons and hope to do a full one in the future), playing classical piano, taking regional trips with my wife to explore New England, and spending time with family, our two cats, and our Goldendoodle, Archie.
Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? I chose UMass Chan because I really enjoyed working with the cardiology team during residency—the clinical training is strong, and the environment is genuinely supportive and collegial. My time in the T32-funded Program in Digital Medicine was also a big part of that experience and helped shape my research interests. It felt like a place where I could continue to grow both clinically and academically, and I’m excited to stay and build on that.  
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Exploring local restaurants and going to dog parks with Archie.

Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? I was drawn to UMass Chan for its supportive and collaborative culture, as well as the breadth of clinical training and opportunities for growth across all areas of cardiology.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Exploring local parks, checking out local breweries, and taking advantage of the easy access to the coast, mountains, and all that New England has to offer!

Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? The combination of broad clinical exposure, support of outstanding faculty and colleagues, and the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population made it clear that UMass was the ideal place to train and grow into the best cardiologist I can be.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Trying new coffee shops and exploring the outdoors.

Hobbies/Interests: I love New England summers and escaping back home to the Bahamas during the winters. I like staying active, whether that's run club, CrossFit, skiing, or doing anything near a beach. Big fan of new restaurants, quirky coffee shops, and the cath lab. Lover of all live music, anything from indie, alternative, Latin, or country.
Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? The people were down-to-earth and genuinely supportive, with strong mentorship from attendings and a culture of collaboration across all levels of the hospital. I liked the balance of exceptional clinical experiences and opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Since I’m new to the area, I'm excited to explore Worcester’s food scene and check out local breweries. I’m also looking forward to adopting the WooSox this summer, especially now that I’m leaving Rhode Island and won’t be able to make as many RI FC games.

Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? I chose UMass Chan because it offers exactly the kind of high-volume, academically rigorous cardiovascular training environment I’m seeking. The program provides comprehensive exposure across the full spectrum of cardiology. What truly draws me to UMass is its commitment to individual growth: a culture that fosters diverse career aspirations while empowering fellows to lead in their own way. What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Spending quality time immersed in the beauty of nature, hiking, road trips, skiing in the winter, and canoeing in the summer.

Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? The amazing faculty and fellows that I got to know firsthand as a resident. Inclusive and supportive environment all around. Direct experiences available in all principal subspecialty areas of Cardiology. UMass has a surprisingly large catchment, leading to an interesting case mix and complexity.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Exploring local creameries and eating too much ice cream. Exploring the local trails, orchards, and farms. Spending quality time with Epic.

Hobbies/Interests: Music and concerts, swimming and running, keeping up with TV and movies.
Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? I wanted to be part of a program where the fellows and faculty enjoyed working and training together. UMass stood out for that. I also love getting to train in an environment with such a large, diverse patient population, with exposure to such a large breadth of medicine. 
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Exploring the surrounding area, golfing, and skiing.

Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? After completing residency at UMass Chan and staying on as a hospitalist, it became clear how special the culture here truly is. The relationships you build with residents, fellows, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, and attendings ­make each day meaningful. The education I received during residency was exceptional, and I knew I wanted to continue learning in that kind of environment during fellowship. Through my rotations on the cardiology service, time in the CCU, and electives on the consult teams, I saw firsthand how collaborative and dedicated the cardiology department is. It's a program where I know I'll be challenged clinically and learn to become a great cardiologist. 
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Walking along the lake, checking out local breweries, and heading to Woo Sox Games.

Why did you choose UMass Chan for your fellowship? As a T32 Fellow, I was looking for a program with a combination of strong clinical practice with a robust research program that is continuing to expand and grow.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Skiing is convenient as 30 minutes away, quirky and fun restaurants (trivia at a Vietnamese restaurant), and fun breweries to try. There are plenty of options in the immediate area as well with easy access to Boston and the rest of New England.

Hobbies/interests: I have two cats that bring companionship and fun into my day. I delight in watching them play and taking them on walks. I am an avid soccer fan who passionately follows Real Madrid and owns several signed jerseys. I enjoy building LEGOs, especially Formula 1 cars and Lord Of The Rings sets. 
Why did you choose UMass Chan for your fellowship? The UMass Chan fellowship program stood out for its supportive and collaborative environment, evident in every interaction, especially my conversations with current fellows. These discussions highlighted the program's commitment to fostering meaningful mentorships and providing robust opportunities to develop clinical and research skills. Visiting the program solidified my excitement, confirming it as the ideal place to grow as a clinician and researcher. Additionally, staying in Massachusetts allows me to remain close to family and friends, making UMass Chan a deeply personal and meaningful choice.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Hiking and Outdoor Exploration, trying out new restaurants and breweries, and touring museums and gardens.

UMass Chan's well-balanced program, integrating academic pursuits in research and scholarly activities with comprehensive clinical training, coupled with an environment enriched by experts in the field, resonated with me and led me to choose it as my next home in my training journey.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Some of my favorite activities include exploring the vibrant local arts scene, hiking picturesque trails in the region's beautiful parks, and enjoying the diverse culinary offerings in the area.

People at UMass treat each other with respect working towards a common goal. There are so many great
cardiologists excited to teach and who have made a mark in their field. I feel that UMass can help me
maximize my potential given the breadth of knowledge in the different fields of cardiology.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? I enjoy going to Armsby Abbey for a meal, hiking
in some of the nearby trails, and golfing at Green Hill Golf Course.

environment in which everyone is both approachable and excited to teach. As a tertiary care referral center for central and western MA, the clinical training is robust with a high patient volume and many interesting cases.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Exploring hiking trails, leaf peeping, and easy
access to both the Cape in the summer and White Mountains in the winter.

Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? I already knew that I loved it at UMass from my time in
residency working with great peers and mentors. I consider the community of Central Massachusetts to be my community and the people that I want to continue to serve. My family lives nearby and being near to them is the most important reason for me.
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? All of the above hobbies are accessible from
Central Mass. Snowboarding and hiking are easy to get to north of Worcester, or even locally at Wachusett and others. I bike to work every day and there are trails in the area for running and biking. There are many great golf courses. I play on the unofficial UMass hockey team. There are otherwise great restaurants and breweries in the region with proximity to Boston and Providence and the coast as well.

Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? As someone born and raised in Massachusetts, it has always been important to care for my own community. UMass has a very high clinical volume due to its location in the second largest city in New England making for excellent training in common cardiac conditions but our wide catchment area also allows us to see rare pathology. During my residency at UMass, I had the opportunity to work with our cardiology department and everyone was truly warm and welcoming. Our attendings prioritize teaching and are actively invested in fostering our growth as clinicians. The fellows create an incredibly supportive work environment and I had to officially join the team!
What are your favorite Central Massachusetts activities? Trying out new breweries/restaurants, apple picking in the fall, visiting family and friends.
