2022 Commencement Ticketing Process

We are pleased to announce the ticketing process for the 49th Commencement Exercises of UMass Chan Medical School on Sunday, June 5, 2022. This year, we will use an electronic ticketing system, via the Eventbrite platform, for registration, distribution and admittance.

On April 20, 2022, all graduating students will receive an email containing a personalized registration code, as well as a registration link with instructions. Students will be asked to share their specific registration code with their invited guests, who, in turn, will be directed to the 2022 Commencement Event Page to complete the registration process.

How can students distribute their assigned tickets?

As stated above, each graduate will be sent a specific registration code that is unique to them and should be used only for members of their party. There is no limit to the number of invited guests; graduates will be allowed to share the code with as many family and friends as they wish to invite. Guests then will enter their student’s personalized code on the registration page to complete the registration process.

It is important to reiterate that all guests planning to attend in person must register through the Eventbrite system. During the registration process, guests of a graduating student must use that student’s personalized registration code. Family members will have the option to register other members of their party (i.e., a young child or elderly relative) by entering their own email address when prompted.

Security and Safety

Our security protocols are intended to ensure the safety of our graduates, participating community members and all visitors to the campus. Guests who will be attending the 2022 Commencement Ceremony must present a registration QR code to gain admittance inside the event tent.

Additionally, all guests will be instructed to pass through a metal detector prior to entering the tent. Guests are advised to pack lightly for the day as all items taken into the tent will be subject to search—the less you are carrying, the more quickly your party will be able to proceed through security.

The tent will open to guests at 10:30 a.m. Please note the bulk of seating will be unreserved and unassigned. Seats will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.
