Objective:
To test whether a trauma registry system could work on a national scale.

Background:
The success of the 2015 trauma registry encouraged national expansion.
 

Outcomes:

• Showed potential for centralized trauma data in India.
  
• Provided proof of concept for wider injury tracking. 
  
  
• Supported public health planning.
