Hi everyone! I'm Karli Pearce. I was born in western Massachusetts and moved around quite a bit growing up. I lived in Wisconsin, Connecticut, Florida, and most recently Andover, Massachusetts where I graduated high school. I got my undergraduate degree in Biology from Boston College. During my time at BC, I gained hands-on medical experience as an emergency department technician at Lowell General. This time solidified my desire to pursue a career in medicine, but my true interest was always in women's health! After graduating I went straight to medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in the beautiful Hudson Valley, New York. As many of us have experienced, my time on clinical rotations confirmed my love for the field of Ob/Gyn very quickly. During my fourth year I had the chance to do visiting rotations in the various Ob/Gyn subspecialties including the MFM rotation at UMass Chan! I'm excited to be back at UMass for residency because of the supportive and collaborative learning environment that the wonderful physicians and residents created for me here as a student. At this point I'm leaning towards working as a generalist because I enjoy the whole scope of women's health and large variety of patients across the field! I could absolutely see myself working with learners in some capacity and am looking forward to seeing where my career takes me. Outside of medicine I enjoy trying new restaurants (taking all Worcester recommendations), spending time with family and friends, watching all things true crime/murder mystery, and being outside in nature!
