Medical Students
Dalena Huynh (UMass Chan)
I’m originally from Burlington, Massachusetts! In medical school, I gravitated towards radiology, and I joined the lab to continue exploring the field and contributing to the research. In my free time, I like to play pickleball and volleyball and enjoy baking for my friends.
Danielle Millner-Balagtas (UMass Chan)
Dani is a third-year medical student at UMass Chan Medical School. Originally from Tampa, Florida, she went to college in California before moving to Worcester for medical school. Her research in Dr. Li’s lab focuses on Y-90 radioembolization and outcomes in hepatocellular carcinoma. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, trying new recipes, and watching football with friends.
Shabaz Khan (UMass Chan)
I’m currently a third-year medical student at UMass Chan Medical School originally from Napa Valley, California. As a nontraditional student, I began my career as a substitute teacher and personal trainer before transitioning to medicine, where I developed an interest in radiology. I joined the lab to explore interventional radiology and contribute to the ongoing research within the field. Outside of medicine, I enjoy sports such as basketball and working on my art.
Quynh Anh (Annie) Phan (UMass Chan)
Annie is interested in improving clinical imaging through education, advocacy, and research. Her research interests include interventional radiology, breast imaging, and health equity.
