The Health Education Academy for Leadership and Learning (HEALL) supports the career development of clinician and scientist educators, serving faculty at UMass Chan Medical School. The Academy focuses on several key areas to advance educational excellence: teaching and learning; curriculum development and assessment; educational innovation; educational research and scholarship; and educational leadership.

Distinguished Educators
A Distinguished Educator in the Academy is typically a senior faculty member at UMass Chan who has devoted their career to the path of a clinician-educator or scientist-educator. Distinguished Educators are recognized not just for their leadership and expertise, but for their demonstrated excellence and sustained focus in multiple facets of academic life. These include teaching and learning, curriculum development and assessment, educational leadership, educational innovation, educational scholarship, and research or clinical education and mentoring. Ideal candidates will exemplify achievement and commitment across at least three of these domains and often bring passion and influence to others as well.
